The Handmade Kitchen: Dessert Quesadillas


I have absolutely no shame in celebrating my sweet tooth. On today’s menu: deliciously simple quesadillas made with banana, Nutella and almond butter.

While a small non-stick skillet is pre-heating on medium-low, spread Nutella on one half of a whole wheat tortilla and almond butter on the other. Slice bananas onto one half (you’ll probably have some left over to munch on while your goodies cook) and fold it over into a semi-circle. Heat on the skillet until slightly brown + crispy. Flip over to do both sides, and serve warm. The filling should be gooey and incredible!

Alternative filling combos: Nutella + raspberry, almond butter + agave syrup, or Smart Balance spread, bananas + cinnamon.
